 THEY ARE THE BIGGEST REPTILES ON THE EARTH. THEY CAN GROW UP TO 6.17 METRES AND GROW MORE THAN A TON.THERE IS A CROCODILE SPECIES CALLED DWARF CROCODILE WHICH IS VERY SMALL.ITS LENGTH IS MAXIMUM 1.9 METRE .CROCODILES CAN BE FOUND IN ALL CONTINENTS EXCEPT EUROPE.CROCODILES ARE REPTILES BUT THEY ARE COMPARED TO DINOSAURS AND BIRDS.CROCODILES HAVE A VALVE AT THE BACK OF THEIR THROAT WHICH ALLOWS THEM TO OPEN THEIR JAW UNDER WATER.THEY HAVE AN AVERAGE LIFE SPAN OF 30-40 YEARS AND IN CASE OF LARGER SPECIES 60-70 YEARS.SOME CROCODILES CAN LIVE UP TO 100 YEARS.THE FIRST CROCODILE APPEARED MUST BE AROUND 250 MILLION YEARS AGO WHEN DINOSAURS APPEARED .SALTWATER CROCODILES HAVE A STRONGEST BITE.IT'S BITE IS 3700 POUNDS PER SQUARE INCH.THEY HAVE A GOOD NIGHT VISION FOR HUNTING.CROCODILES HEARTS CHANGES ITS BLOOD FLOW ACCORDING TO THE CONDITION.

THEY CARRY THEIR BABIES INTO WATER VIA MOUTHS.BABY'S CAN MAKE NOISE INSIDE THEIR EGGS.IN AUSTRALIA 3 CROCODILES WERE TAKEN TO 400 KM TO ANOTHER LAKE.BUT AFTER THREE WEEKS THEY RETURNED BACK TO THEIR LOCATION.THEIR TOP TOP SWIMMING SPEED IS 15 KM/HR.THEY CAN SURVIVE WITHOUT FOOD FOR A LONG TIME.THEY DON'T CHEW THEIR FOOD.MOST OF YOUNG CROCODILES ARE EATEN BY 1ST YEAR OF THEIR LIFE BY OTHER PREDATORS.
